Utensils:

10” OR 13” SAUTE PANS OR GRIDDLE & FOOD PROCESSOR
 

Directions:

Preheat pan on medium heat. Grate 2-3 potatoes on the #1 cone. (A small onion use of #2 cone is optional.) Cut into steamer insert and rinse with hot water if you want them to keep without discoloration. (This last statement will apply to any fresh potato that is cut.)
 
Preheat just enough butter, margarine or “Pam” to cover bottom of the pan and wait till it starts to have a sudsy look. Add potatoes and flatten out with a spatula. Cook 4 minutes – then turn. Cover another 4-6 minutes on medium heat crispy hash browns or cover with a lid to steam them. Add a couple of slices of cheese to the top for a nice treat.
