Chili con Carne

Utensils:

6 QT ROASTER & FOOD PROCESSOR
 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 stalk celery (#4 cone)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 can (15 oz.) kidney beans
  • 1/2 clove minced garlic
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can tomatoes with liquid
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 medium cone (#2 cone)

Directions:

Preheat skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and fry until lightly brown. Stir frequently to break up lumps of meat. Add seasonings, vegetables and water. Cover and cook over medium heat. When valve whistles reduce to low heat and close valve.
 
Tip: you may want to cook the ground beef in inset over 3 inches of water in 3 quart. Ground beef will cook while the fat drips through to water below.
 
Note: Flavor improves when reheated over low the next day.
