Walnut Chicken


WOK or Large Skillet
Serves 4


  • 2 tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 tbs bourbon
  • 4 – 4 oz boneless chicken breast (cut in bite size pieces)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 bundle of scallions minced
  • 2 tsp ginger minced


Mix together egg whites, cornstarch and chicken broth. Roll chicken in this mixture. Heat oil in the Wok. Stir fry chicken until it turns white. Remove from the Wok. Stir fry the scallions and ginger for a moment. Add the bourbon, sugar, soy sauce, walnuts and chicken and stir fry for a minute.
27 grams protein, 3 grams fat, 10 grams carbohydrates, 175 calories
Note: Oil is required in recipe, due to egg mixture. To eliminate oil use chicken without mixture.
