Swiss Steak

Utensils:

LARGE SKILLET, JUMBO SKILLET & ELECTRIC SKILLET
Serves 4-6
 

Ingredients:

  • 1 large round steak
  • 3-4 carrots
  • 1 package Onion soup mix
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce

Directions:

Preheat skillet on medium high heat or 425 degrees if using electric skillet. Sear steak for 2-3 minutes. Lift steak out of pan and add 1/2 package of onion soup. Return meat to skillet and put remaining onion soup mix and 8 oz. can of tomato sauce. Cut potatoes and carrots into large chunks and add to skillet. Cover and reduce heat after bubbling around rim starts or valve whistles. Cook on simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
